Anne Hendricks, one of the Levin Legal Group’s four shareholders, is an experienced attorney who joined the firm after practicing for nearly a decade with two large firms in Center City Philadelphia: Blank, Rome, Comisky & McCauley and then Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC. Anne’s civil litigation practice has included commercial, products liability and intellectual property cases. Since joining the Levin Legal Group in 1999, Anne’s practice has grown to include public school law, labor law and civil rights litigation. Having developed expertise in the extraordinarily complex and highly regulated field of special education law, Anne now coordinates and supervises the firm’s robust special education practice group. She personally handles special education cases at all stages, from pre-litigation through due process and federal appeals.
Anne enjoys litigation and has made time to assist new attorneys develop their own legal acumen by serving as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, where she has taught pre-trial and trial advocacy skills. Anne has also coached several seasons of Temple Law’s award winning trial advocacy team. She has taught litigation skills for both the American Law Institute for the American Bar Association (ALI-ABA) and the nationally renowned National Institute of Trial Advocacy, a non-profit organization of professors, judges and practicing lawyers whose mission is to train and mentor lawyers to develop trial skills for the purpose of promoting effective and ethical advocacy and to support the fair administration of justice. Moreover, Anne regularly presents on special education topics to educators, administrators and fellow special education attorneys, including the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s annual Exceptional Children Conference.
Anne has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the Schools & Education practice area by the publishers of Philadelphia magazine, Pennsylvania Super Lawyers and Law & Politics, in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
